BSI and the IFE kicked off their ongoing fire safety CPD partnership for 2023, with a focus on planning gateway one (PGO). With expert input from the Health and Safety Executive's policy lead Mark Wilson, and Totus Digital CEO Aman Sharma, delegates were treated to a deep dive into policy requirements and best practice to enable effective engagement with the statutory consultee and local planning authority.

The first meeting of the Building Advisory Committee (BAC) took place this week. BAC was established under the Building Safety Act 2022 as part of government’s reforms of building safety. The reforms are designed to create lasting change and make it clear how residential buildings should be constructed, maintained and made safe.
